More Garden Pictures
These pictures were also taken in early Summer. This was my first garden since owning our new house. I really like the soil here compared to that at the last home we owned. It's loamy and dark. The previous owner was a tried and true organic fan and never used an ounce of chemicals on his property. this was an important bit of information for me as we prepared to make on offer on the property.
A little slice of Summer...
This is a picture of my kitchen garden taken in July of 2007. I look back on it fondly as the weather grows colder and the daylight dwindles. The bed was sizable at approximately 16 feet long and 4 feet wide. I planted a mixture of salad greens, interspersed with radish, dwarf size cabbage, tomatoes, eggplant accented here and there with cottage flowers.
