Here we have a picture of my garden in the process of being cleaned up for Fall/Winter planting. The "grow" sign was given to me by a dear friend who thought it would look good in my garden. The next picture down is of my potatoes in their barrel. As you can see they've topped the rim and I've filled about half the barrel with compost. Potatoes will grow off any portions of the stem which are subterranean. In another few weeks I will fill the barrel to the top with more compost. Once the leaves turn brown in Fall, I will start digging down for potatoes. The next picture is of a volunteer broccoli. There are two that sprung up from broccoli that went to seed in the same bed last year. The there's a picture of blueberries, some massive mutant vegetables (squash and a radish) I pulled from my garden this afternoon, and last but not least, my kombucha fermenting on the counter in a ceramic jug.
